October's character trait is responsibility. Student Council invited some previous Aspen Creek students to talk with the fifth graders about how responsibility changes as you get older and gave advice on how to handle more responsibility.

Kindness Club collected some items that the Gretna Neighbors were in need of! This was a great way for us to kick off Kindness Club for the 2024-2025 school year!
On September 24th, the Gretna Public School District Board of Education was honored with the prestigious President’s Board Award, presented by the Nebraska Association of School Boards. Join us on September 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Aspen Creek Middle School for a county-wide tax hearing. Gretna Public Schools and other Sarpy County entities will present their plans in this "Pink Postcard Hearing." We invite residents to participate and share their input.
Gretna Public Schools invites the community to a budget hearing on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the District Office. A tax hearing and the regular board meeting will follow, providing an opportunity for public input.

Aspen Creek Book Fair coming soon! The book fair will be open Monday, Sept. 9th - Thursday, Sept. 19th from 7:30am - 3:30pm. Students can shop before or after school and during their Library class each week.
Aspen Creek Elementary will be offering a wide variety of before/after school clubs to our 3rd - 5th graders. Prior to the club start date, sponsors share information within the building. Students who are interested are able to take a flyer home to share with parents. If you see a club your child might be interested in be sure to visit with him/her about it.
