Strategic Plan

For the first time in our district’s history, Gretna Public Schools has developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan to guide our future. Since April 2024, we have worked alongside Kordica Communication to facilitate discussions, organize focus groups, and gather valuable input from a diverse range of stakeholders—including students, teachers, classified staff, administrators, parents, Citizens Committee members, city officials, school board members, and local business owners.

Through this collaborative effort, we identified four key focus areas that will shape our district’s priorities from 2025 to 2029:

  • Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

  • Growth, Climate, and Culture

  • Mental Health

  • Recruitment and Retention

These four focus areas serve as the foundation of our plan, providing a roadmap for continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and aligned district actions. Together, we are committed to ensuring a strong and successful future for Gretna Public Schools.
