Dear ACE Families,
What a great first three days at Aspen Creek! Our hallways are filled with smiling faces, new friendships, learning, and plenty of excitement as we begin what is sure to be a very special school year. We are officially celebrating our 10th year as a school, and I can’t think of a better way to begin our decade of Guardian Pride!
Thank you to our families for helping make these first few days such a smooth transition. Our students are settling into routines, getting to know their teachers and classmates, and showing us just how ready they are for another great year of learning. We are off to a fantastic start!
Our arrival and dismissal routines have been going wonderfully! We appreciate everyone following the procedures and helping us keep these busy times of the day safe and efficient. Your patience and cooperation make a huge difference, and we are grateful for your partnership.
A Quick Reminder About Snacks & Birthday Treats
As we begin the year, please remember that all daily snacks and birthday treats brought to school must be peanut and tree nut free.
For birthday treats, please keep the following in mind:
Birthday snacks should be
individually wrapped whenever possible
.
At minimum, birthday treats must be
store-bought and have a nutritional/ingredient label
so we can verify the ingredients.
Homemade birthday treats cannot be accepted.
Daily classroom snacks should also be
peanut and tree nut free
.
Some examples of snacks that may work include applesauce or fruit cups, individually packaged pretzels, popcorn, crackers, cheese sticks, fruit snacks, granola bars that are specifically labeled peanut/tree nut free, or other individually packaged snacks that meet the guidelines. Please remember that labels should always be checked before sending snacks to school, as ingredients and manufacturing practices can change.
We know these guidelines require a little extra planning, and we truly appreciate your help in keeping all of our students safe and included when we celebrate.
Three days in, and we already have so much to celebrate! Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of the Aspen Creek community. We are excited for everything this 10th year of Guardian Pride has in store!
Here’s to a wonderful school year!
