Welcome & Introductions
Financial Update
Not much for an update
We received over $1,400 for the Spirit Wear order
After ACE Race, we’ll hold a budget meeting since that is our largest fund raiser
Principal Update
Excited for ACE Race on Friday, 9/20 – all in the afternoon
Book Fair is going well
Donut with Grown Ups tomorrow 9/17 7:30 – 8:00
Eagle Scout going to repaint the map on the blacktop
Will cost around $450
Everything is going well, business as usual
There’s no longer a weekly newsletter, it is posted to the website each Friday
If there is anything you absolutely know – teachers will send an email or you’ll receive a notification to check the website
Aspen Appetite Night Updates
Tuesday, 9/17 at Culvers
Will have stickers to send home with all of the children as a reminder
McDonalds (opening 10/10)
Appetite Night 10/17 with a check presentation 10/19 at 11:10 am
ACE Race Planning
Shirts will be ready on Wednesday
Volunteers needed for sorting Wednesday afternoon/evening
Preschool needs to be ready by Thursday (secretaries can pull them)

What are we raising money for?
Mrs. Spurgin would like at 3D printer – approximately $550
Mrs. Kistler would like new wood chips to fill it to the brim - approximately $6,000
Could potentially go ½ with library fund
Rubber filling under monkey bars – we’ve priced this before but will check cost again
Technology-wise doing good from the foundation
Possibly: A shade structure
Got the ok for Changing tables, just need to decide where to put them
Can go through any company if PTO is purchasing
Maintenance can install

Steps
Make contact with the teacher to get emails and if there is a para
Send introductory email to parents
Use template to set donation expectations throughout the year (smaller gifts)
Asked for open donation - $5-$30 (birthday/Christmas), send it out early
Be sure to include para as well as the teachers

We want the room parties to be fair for everyone
Staff Appreciation Week – not covered by PTO but parents can do a little or as much as the wish
Can be just acknowledged, don’t feel you need to go overboard, a small token of appreciation is just fine
Teachers sometime don’t know how to respond because maybe the colleagues aren’t
Teachers love to hear from parents to know that they know they’re making a difference
Remind your kids to say “thanks”
